A dog walker survived an attack by a herd of cows. Laura Bazille was knocked to the ground before several animals kicked and trampled her. She spent five days in intensive care with six broken ribs and a punctured lung. The health worker, 52, was walking her dogs on a public path across a field in Colby, Isle of Man, when a startled cow ran towards them. She was found an hour later, unable to move. Husband Jean-Michel said: 'Laura's amazingly lucky. It was so soggy she sank in the mud - otherwise she would be dead.' He wants warning notices put up in fields with cows.
