Pennsylvania restaurant owner seeking home for 8-foot, stuffed polar bear

Dave DeWees, who owns Woods Creek Grill, bought the bear at auction. It was legally killed 50 years ago in Alaska, but it is still illegal to transport the endangered species into another state or country.

A restaurant owner from Pennsylvania is trying to find a good home for an 8-foot polar bear.

But anyone interested need not fear the furry creature — which was shot and stuffed almost 50 years ago.

Dave DeWees, who owns Woods Creek Grill, bought the bear and other animals at auctions.

Over the years, many patrons of the restaurant outside of Harrisburg have enjoyed posing for photographs with the bear, which the Harrisburg Patriot News reports was legally shot in Alaska in 1967.
