BBC: Gorillas may ‘communicate’ size through chest beating

 


Mountain gorillas may be communicating information such as body size with each other through chest beating, a new study suggests.

Researchers used audio frequencies to analyse the drumming sounds caused by chest beating in wild adult male silverback gorillas in Rwanda.
