ENCOUNTER BAY - Forget the Loch Ness Monster, Encounter Bay is home to a native creature which is bounding into tales of local folklore for its unusual water loving ways.
A seafaring kangaroo has bounced back into the public eye, being caught on camera by an Encounter Bay resident for the second time on Sunday, October 12.
The well-documented mammal was first caught on camera while taking a dip in Encounter Bay waters at around 7am on Monday, September 22.
And it seems the kangaroo is a creature of habit; this time being caught in the same spot, just in front of Kent Reserve, at around 7.30am.
The first time it was spotted, the swimming kangaroo drew the interest of 5294 people on The Times’ Facebook page.
