April 2012. According to the South African Revenue Service (SARS), who control customs check points at South Africa’s airports, a 25 year old Vietnamese man has been arrested when he was found to be carrying three rhino horns in his luggage.
The three horns weighed 14 kilos, worth some £500,000 at today’s prices, but the authorities have not yet traced where the horns came from.
