There were signs. There were protests. And there wasn’t a seat left in the house at last night's town meeting near Los Angeles.
At issue was the fate of one fat, pot-bellied pig, named Bubba. A new ordinance on keeping livestock was poised to outlaw the pet pig within Seal Beach city limits. The city council was ready to give Bubba the boot, citing the 235-pound pet pig as a threat to health and welfare in the community.
