TAMED MOZZIES: The days of mosquitos spreading dengue fever could soon be numbered. A new strain of the insect where the females are unable to fly is being developed by scientists at Oxford and in Irvine, California. Dengue fever, which has severe flu-like symptons, is spread by female mosquiots only and affects up to 100million people a year.
