Unusual dragonfly is discovered at RSPB Ynys-hir

A brown hawker dragonfly appeared at RSPB Ynys-hir last month – the first recorded sighting ever at the reserve and in Ceredigion county.

Although the brown hawker is common in England rarely does it make an appearance as far west as Ceredigion in west Wales, its characteristic golden brown wings and yellow stripes over its body makes it quite a spectacle. So what are you waiting for, get down to the reserve today. www.rspb.org.uk/ynys-hir
