A dead red squirrel has been put up for sale
on eBay for £275.
Bargain-hunters were shocked to find a
picture of the rodent's body on the online auction site.
And at least three people were 'watching' the
item, possibly with a view to buying it.
An opening bid of £10 is required, and the
seller suggests the corpse could be used 'for taxidermy purposes'.
But one woman who saw the listing while
looking for an ornamental squirrel, said she was horrified by the listing.
The seller writes: "Found this beautiful
creature this morning, must have died of natural causes as no damage.
“Shame to let it decay, it’s so beautiful,
maybe someone would like to taxidermy!”
