SLOVENIA: A dog owner who saved his three pets from being put down after they attacked people has been mauled to death - by the same animals.
The 52-year old was killed by the three bullmastiffs at his Ljubljana home eight months after he won a legal battle to save them. The animals were ordered to be killed four years ago after they attacked a passer-by and a dog handler but they spent years in 'custody' as the owner fought to save them. They have now been put down.
