A beluga whale with performing and painting skills has been drawing crowds at a Chinese theme park with its art work.
The seven-year-old star has been churning out abstract watercolour works on paper at Qingdao Polar Ocean World in eastern China's Shandong Province.
Holding a brush in its mouth and either nodding or wagging its head, the whale, named Xiao Qiang, can create paintings within minutes.
The soft blubber around the whale's head allows flexible facial movement, which may have enabled Xiao Qiang to develop his expressive style.
In addition to enjoying the rare sight of an artistic animal at work, some visitors keep a souvenir of their experience by buying one of the paintings.
