A schoolgirl claims she was chased through woods by a panther. Kim Howells, 15, fled in terror with her cousin Sophie Gwynne after being pursued by the 'big cat' in woods near Ruspidge, Gloucestershire.
"I saw something out of the corner of my eye and at first I thought it was a log or something," she said.
"Sophie was asking what it was and then we looked behind us and it was about 5m (16ft) away, following us."
Her mother Cathy said: "If that's what she says she saw, that's what it is."
