Dead dog receives TV licence bill

12 August 2010 16:30 GMT

A dead dog in Germany has received a TV licence bill.

Bini, a dachshund who died five years ago, was given the bill by GEZ licence authorities.

Bini's owner Jennifer Pyka, said: "All of my memories came rushing back. I cried and tore up the letter in a rage.

"At least the GEZ has since apologies and removed Bini from their databank. But I'm still totally angry that something like this can even happen."

It is not the first time such an occurrence had happened, Andreas Muller from the company's collection department said they had experienced similar problems in the past.
