If you go down to the woods today you're in for a big surprise - a bear casting a shadow the size of a small village is on the loose.
But fear not - the alarming sight is in fact created by the angle of the sun.
The quirky accident of nature occurs when the sun sets behind Whiteside Mountain in Jackson County, USA.
The 'shadow of the bear' only shows up from mid-October through early November on clear days around 5:30 p.m., with the 'beast' lurking for about a half-hour.
