Wildlife volunteers in Australia say
they were stunned to find an extremely rare albino turtle on the beach

This pearl-coloured sea turtle has
stunned wildlife volunteers.
The tiny creature was one of 122
hatchlings from a green turtle nest on Castaways
Beach on Queensland 's
Sunshine Coast .
Volunteers from Coolum and North Shore
Coast Care were shocked to see an albino sea turtle, as they are incredibly
rare.
"It was very chipper and just took
off into the water as happy as can be," said group president Linda
Warneminde.
"He wasn't sick, he was just
white," she told the BBC.
The little turtle is now in the ocean.
However, there are very few albino sea
turtles in the wild.
Only 1 in 1,000 baby turtles make it to
adulthood - and the chances for a stand-out white creature are probably even
lower.
