Albino snake visits Derry shops

An albino snake has been found outside a row of shops in Londonderry. The yellowish-white snake is in Patrick McGills corner shop on Park Avenue. Mr McGill said his brother Bernard found the snake on the pavement and brought it inside.

"This snake has been the talk of the area, local children have been coming in to have a look at it," he said. On Monday what is believed to be the same snake was spotted at a nearby chemists.

Sharon Box from Clear Pharmacy on Rosemount Avenue found an albino snake in the chemist on Monday. "Two fellas spied him and the minute we tried to get hold of him he was gone."

"He went behind the household cleaning products and stayed there," she said.
