Australian wildlife officers are investigating a claim that a teenage boy rode on the back of a whale - an activity not only against the law but potentially deadly.
The boy reportedly climbed on a southern right whale near the town of Albany. That could mean a fine of A$10,000 (HK$74,500) for harassing wildlife.
An officer said such a whale could be 18-meters long and weigh 80 tonnes, so "if you are in the way of a tail slap or when it breaches you're unlikely to survive."
