'I looked over and saw this shark, we were eye to eye': Terrifying moment Florida cafe-owner was attacked by a bull shark

A café owner was bitten in the arm by a bull shark off Florida’s eastern coast just days after five others were attacked in the area.

Frank Wacha was surfing off Jensen Beach when he felt something leap out of the water and attach itself to his arm.

‘It felt just like I had been hit,’ the 61-year-old told TC Palm. ‘It was very fast. It didn't last long.’

Wacha, who has been surfing for 50 years, is currently recovering after the bull shark bit his left arm several times on Thursday. 

‘My arm was out of the water,’ he said. ‘I looked over and saw this shark. We were eye to eye.
