Officers from the Alhambra Police Department are going to have to send an edited version of their latest pursuit drama to the makers of Crazy Cop Car Chases.
A squad car was involved in the lowest-speed chase ever recorded when they were dispatched to arrest a tortoise that had made a bid for freedom from its owners.
The hardened criminal, an African sulcata tortoise (aka Clark), was found wandering the streets of Alhambra on Saturday. He had apparently decided to make a slow getaway when his owners went out to a baseball game.
Neighbours saw Clark’s escape attempt and contacted law enforcement officers.
