A boa constrictor caused panic among shoppers when it escaped from its owner and slithered along a high street in Poland.
The 1.2m (4ft) snake was eventually captured by police in the south-western Polish city of Wroclaw
The authorities fined the boa constrictor's owner, identified as Piotr Dudek, £50 for failing to properly secure his snake tank.

ReplyDeleteThe authorities did not fine him enough. £50,000 or better still £500,000 would have have been a more realistic figure, to serve as a warning to other idiots who insist on keeping snakes and other dangerous creatures, that they must ensure the safety of other people and creatures.
