Nottingham Wildlife Trust appeals for funds to expand Skylarks Nature Reserve

Nottingham Wildlife Trust needs your help to raise £50,000

August 2013. Nottingham Wildlife Trust have a once in a lifetime opportunity to extend the Skylarks Nature Reserve, at Holme Pierrepont and they are asking you to donate to help buy the land. If Nottingham Wildlife Trust manage to raise the cash it will become Rushcliffe's biggest nature reserve!

200 reasons to help
Nearly 200 species of bird have been recorded here, including some rare migrants! But when it was put up for public auction last year, Nottingham Wildlife Trust were really concerned that the site could be damaged or destroyed.

Nottingham Wildlife Trust has secured the support of an independent charitable Trust who has bought the site at their request to give NWT time to raise the funds to purchase the site themselves. This would guarantee its long-term future as a nature reserve. Efforts are already underway to secure funds from partners and grant bodies, but Nottingham Wildlife Trust anticipate that they will need to raise a further £50,000 ourselves to make this happen...that's where you come in.
