Meet the unsinkable Molly Brown, sole survivor of sheep accident

MOLLY Brown has fleeced the gallows twice in two days. And ewe would have to agree that having beaten death, she has earned the right to live.
Named after a Titanic survivor, Molly Brown is the sole sheep alive from a flock of 400 killed or put down after a truck rolled in Laverton, on the way to the abattoir last week.
Left to wander dazed for a day, Molly was rounded up and taken to an emergency vet for staples to a gash on her head.
Bunkered down at The Lost Dogs' Home, Molly is bleating for someone to offer her a new life in lush pasture.
There were chaotic scenes on the Western Ring Rd late last week when the truck toppled, spilling hundreds of sheep to the Princes Highway below.
"We got the call to pick her up at 5.25pm on Friday, which was more than a day after the accident and we sent the animal ambulance out there with people who helped round her up," said Lost Dogs' Home general manager Sue Conroy.
"She went to Animal Accident Emergency Hospital in Essendon, where a bad gash on her head was stapled. She was stabilised, and now she's back with us."
Ms Conroy said staff traced Molly's breeder by an ear tag.
"But when we rang him, he thought it was a joke," she said.
"Molly belies the mistaken belief that sheep have no brains and she has survived against all odds.
"Given she has survived against so many odds, we are keen to place her with a new, 'forever' home to live out her life."
